THOMAS-The Train

This project was created for the Mobile Robotics course at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, is based on DYOR Robot. The inspiration about the robot was the animation Thomas the train.

  • 2 360 servo continuous rotation

DESIGN  

The whole design for the robot was created by us with Fusion 360. It is a custom design and the inspiration was the animation Thomas the train. 

PROGRAMMING 

This robot is controlled by a mobile app called Arduino Car, although it is also compatible with one that was designed specifically for this robot through the App Inventor app. 

FUNCTIONS 

Manual Function:  

With the mobile app we can control the robot. Some of the functions that it can do is: 

  • Move Forward 
  • Move Backwards
  • Turn to Left 
  • Turn to Right  
  • Move until it detect an obstacle  
  • Obstacle avoidance 
  • Line following
