SolidWorks

New repository with the new models of the DYOR robot in SolidWorks.

SolidWorks is a professional 3D CAD design tool widely used in engineering studies. We have published a repository with all the CAD files of several of the new models of the DYOR robot on GitHub. These files are designed to be manufactured in laser cut with a metal sheet of aluminium (5754 alloy) and 1mm thickness.

Access repository

The files have been made using version 2018 and the structure of the repository is as follows:

  • The DXF folder contains some of the DXF files to be cut with 1mm thick metal sheet. These files can, in general, be opened with any CAD program, such as QCAD.
  • SolidWorks/Electronics and SolidWorks/Mechanics folders contain the most common models of electronics (arduino, motors, etc …) and mechanics (screws, nuts, etc …). These files have been, in general, obtained from repositories such as GrabCAD. Some models have been imported so you can work properly in SolidWorks, since their original formats were different. Also, based on these models, we have adapted some of the files to correspond to the electronics and mechanics that are usually used in DYOR robots, since there may be slight differences.
  • SolidWorks/MetalSheet folder contains the designs of the base parts of the new models of the DYOR robot, as well as some of its accessories such as arms and shovels. It also contains the assemblies of these parts together with the components of electronics and mechanics.
  • SolidWorks/FDM3mm folder contains the old designs that were used for wood cutting.
  • Renders folder contains some renderings of the robots, this is a static image of the assembly with adequate lighting conditions.

Existen una gran variedad de modelos y las posibilidades de combinar son enormes. A continuación os mostramos algunos ejemplos que hemos renderizado:
